Additional Information
The AlterG is a high-tech treadmill developed by NASA, which uses air pressure to allow for a precise reduction of body weight in 1% increments. Patients can select to walk/run anywhere between 20 and 100 percent of their weight to provide pain-free movement and reduced impact on muscles and joints. This technology enables patients to begin partial weight bearing rehabilitation earlier in a safe, controlled environment. The treadmill has the capability to adjust speed from 0-18 mph and incline from 0-15%. This broad spectrum of settings makes the AlterG a perfect resource for elite athletes as well. They can use the treadmill as a routine part of their conditioning programs while minimizing the stress and impact on their bodies.
