Fast, Everyday Eatery Comes To Silver Spring | Restaurants

Who doesn’t love a good burger? Restaurateur, Spiro Gioldosis, who has opened three succesful restaurants in Silver Spring including Pacci’s Neapolitan Pizzeria, Pacci’s Trattoria & Pasticceria, and assisted in opening Mrs. K’s Restaurant in the last two years, is about to add restaurant number four.

Gioldosis believed the area needed a solid burger shop to satisfy residents and visitors of the Fillmore and AFI Silver Theatre.

“We couldn’t ask for a better location and our hours will be based very much on what is going on in the area.”

Chef Luis Flores and Spiro Gioldosis have transformed the former South American rotisserie and grill, Sabroso, into "The Stage Burger Lounge" located at 8624 Colesville Road, Silver Spring. The restaurant will be serving up upscale burgers and sandwiches from "11 am to late."

The fast, gourmet, everyday eatery will feature gourmet burgers and sandwiches including a bison and brie burger, turkey burgers, a mean steak and cheese, hotdogs, pulled pork, BBQ sandwiches (with homemade BBQ sauce),  and signature milkshakes.

The Stage Burger Lounge is set to open to the public as early as March 1 with a friends and family preview on February 29.

“We offer fine dining between a bun,” joked owner Spiro Gioldosis.“People can look forward to our gourmet, upscale burgers with local ingredients made fresh daily in a fun and casual environment.”

The burgers weighed 8 ounces and prices ranged from $6.49 to $9.89. Compliment the burgers with onion rings, hand-cut sweet potato fries, french fries or hushpuppies (a Gioldosis’ family recipe) ranging in price from $1.95 to $4.50.
